Invoice to Excel: Invoice to Excel reads the table on each page of an invoice or receipt PDF, usually the line items with their quantities, prices and amounts, and writes its rows and columns to Excel (.xlsx) or CSV. It copies what is printed; it does not recognize which column is the tax or the total, so check those figures before you use them. FreeAIPDF runs 100% locally in your web browser using WebAssembly. Your files never leave your device, guaranteeing absolute confidentiality, zero subscriptions, and no file size paywalls.

Frequently asked questions
- Can I convert multiple invoices into Excel?
- One PDF at a time. Each table found on each page goes on its own sheet, named like Table_P2_1, or all of them go on one sheet if you untick Separate sheet for each table.
- Does this require any subscription or software installation?
- No. It is completely free and runs directly in modern web browsers with no software to install.
- Does it work on a scanned or photographed invoice?
- Not directly. A scan has no text to read, so the tool stops and asks you to run OCR PDF first. OCR reads English only, and recognized figures need more checking before you rely on them.
- Why can't Excel add up the amounts?
- In the .xlsx file every cell is stored as text, exactly as it appeared in the PDF. Select the amount columns and use Convert to Number (or the VALUE function) before adding them up. When you open a CSV file instead, Excel usually reads plain amounts as numbers.
