Combine several photos or screenshots into one PDF

Each image becomes one page, in the order shown in the file list. A receipt photo, a bank screenshot and both sides of an ID card can all go in the same file; there is no need to convert them to one format first.

JPEG data is copied into the PDF byte for byte, and PNG pixels are stored losslessly, so a PNG screenshot keeps its crisp text and a JPEG photo keeps its original pixels. The tool checks the first bytes of each file rather than its name, so a JPEG saved with a .png extension is still copied as JPEG. Anything that is not JPEG or PNG inside, which in practice means WebP, is re-encoded to JPEG first; transparent areas turn white and the quality changes slightly.

There is no way to put two receipts side by side on one page. If you want a collage, arrange it in a photo app first and add the result as one image.

Under Page size, "Match each image" makes every page exactly the pixel dimensions of its picture. A 4000 by 3000 photo becomes a page roughly 55 by 42 inches, while a phone screenshot becomes a tall, narrow page. It looks fine on screen because viewers zoom to fit, but a file with wildly different page sizes prints unpredictably and looks untidy in a form portal preview.

"Fixed page size" is the better choice for receipts and ID pages going to someone else. Pick a Paper size (A4, Letter, Legal, A3 or A5), and each image is scaled to fit inside the margin and centered on the page. Nothing is cropped, and a small image is scaled up too. The Margin (pt) field takes 0 to 144 points; the default of 24 is a third of an inch, and 0 lets the image reach the edge of the sheet.

Orientation on Auto turns the page sideways whenever an image is wider than it is tall, so a landscape photo of a wide receipt gets a landscape page. Set Portrait or Landscape instead if the recipient wants every page the same way up.

Files land in the list in the order you selected them. Drag a row to move it, or use the up and down arrows on each row. If you forgot one, use "Add more files" rather than starting over; the X on a row removes that file without affecting the rest.

Give the file a useful name in the Output file name field before you run. It defaults to images.pdf, and .pdf is added automatically if you leave it off. A name like receipts-march-2026.pdf saves the person on the other end from renaming it.

Sideways pages are the most common complaint. Phones often store a photo sideways and add a tag telling apps to rotate it on display. Because JPEG data is copied into the PDF unchanged, that tag is not applied, and a photo that looks upright on your phone can appear rotated in the PDF. Open the result before you send it; if a page is wrong, run the file through Rotate PDF, choose the angle, and enter just that page number under Rotate.

The PDF will not be smaller than the images that went into it. JPEG and PNG data is not recompressed, so the file is roughly the size of all the photos added together. If a portal has an upload limit, run the finished file through Compress PDF. Its Light, Balanced and Strong levels re-encode JPEG photos at a lower quality but leave PNG screenshots alone; only "Flatten to images" shrinks those, by re-rendering every page as a picture.

HEIC photos from an iPhone are refused when you select them, with a message that the file is not a supported type. Share or export them as JPEG from the Photos app first, or switch the camera format to Most Compatible.

The limits are 100 MB per file and 20 files at a time. Any file over 50 MB shows a warning that it is processed entirely in memory and may struggle on a phone. If ID pages are involved, remember that the PDF is an ordinary file once downloaded; Protect PDF can add a password before you email it.
